Lunchroom Rules at Granger School        

  • Listen to and respect the adults on duty. Follow directions the first time they are given.

  • Keep your voice low

  • Pay attention in line and keep your hands and feet to yourself

  • Use proper manners and appropriate language

  • Stay seated and raise your hand if you need something

  • Be responsible for your own space, clean up floor and table trash

  • When the lights are out (during the last 2 minutes), please be quiet

  • Do not share your food (allergies and medical issues)

  • Lunchroom monitors will announce when seconds or snacks are available

  • Students may not leave the lunchroom for any reason

  • Please leave lunchroom quietly and walking

• Loud voice / inappropriate language
• Not following Lunchroom Rules
• Taking food from others
• Throwing food

 

Consequences 1st time – warning

2nd time – seat moved

3rd time – discipline note and consequence

Intervention and Consequences: Instruction / verbal correction, have student restate rules, have students demonstrate / practice appropriate behavior, have student observe others demonstrating the appropriate behavior, problem solving, behavior plan, restitution, removal from activity, time out, note home, phone call home.

 

Recess Rules at Granger School

For safety and to prevent accident and injury…

  • Listen to and respect the adults on duty. Follow their directions the first time they are given.

  • Physical contact or verbal abuse in any form is not permitted.

  • Use playground equipment properly and safely. Share so everybody has a turn.

  • Display positive sportsmanship.

  • Play in designated game areas only.

  • Line up quickly when the bell rings and enter the building walking quietly.

  • Ask before entering the building or leaving the playground.

  • Play away from woods and fences.

  • Supervisors carry walkie - talkie

  • Two monitors are stationed in the field, one at playscape and one on blacktop

  • Monitors continually skim and scan and look to intervene before problems occur

  • The Quiet signal at Granger is the bell and a raised hand

  • The bathrooms may be used only in an emergency
