Wright Flight Info Night

Hello AJHS Families!

We are once again able to offer a unique club opportunity to our AJHS students. The Wright Flight organization is led by current and former pilots that teach a 10 week program to students about aviation, the science behind flight, the industry and the real world application of these skills. The culmination of the course is the ability for students to actually take a flight with an instructor and a classmate with the successful completion of the course material. Wright Flight has been able to adapt their program to a virtual format for the classroom instruction portion of the program. There is a fee for the program, that covers almost the entire cost of the actual flight lesson but there are scholarships available if needed. Last year AJHS had its first class complete the program and 15 students were able to take their flights in June. It was truly a wonderful experience for students and their families that were able to watch from Barnes Airport.

Our informational meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, January 27th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Attached is the google meet code to join the meeting. WE ASK THAT STUDENTS AND PARENTS USE THE STUDENT'S SCHOOL GMAIL ACCOUNT TO JOIN THIS MEETING. There is a limit of 250 to join this meeting but we will record the session if families are not able to get in or make this meeting time and post it to our webpage. We hope you and your child are able to be part of this wonderful club as we start to offer more activities for our students. Please email Mr. Robbins or Mrs. Sandra Johnson if you have additional questions.

Thank you,

Norman C. Robbins
