Welcome to the Agawam Public Schools website. It is an honor and privilege to serve as the district’s Interim Superintendent for the 2020-2021 school year. As a former graduate of the Agawam Public Schools, I can attest to the pride the community takes in the success of its students and schools. The district’s acronym of “Academics, Performance, & Success” is more than a motto but rather a philosophy shared by a staff of dedicated administrators and teachers.
As a district, we offer students a comprehensive educational program that includes a caring, supportive environment. Committed to bringing out the best in each and every student, our vision is one of inclusiveness, diversity, and empathy. Students are challenged by a strong curriculum which is enhanced by various social and emotional supports that help to provide for a safe, healthy, and conducive learning environment.
The district’s goal of creating life-long learners is fostered by its School Committee which believes in a free and appropriate education for the 3,500 students who are served in the district’s eight schools. The collaboration of the School Committee enables the district to meet the needs of all students through its support of an annual budget that encompasses extracurricular and enrichment activities benefiting the whole child.
