Our Best Buddies Club had their annual Halloweed Social on Wednesday. The club attracts so many of our awesome students to spend time together on Wednesday’s.
The beautiful weather has driven some classes to the outdoor classroom this week. Juniors in Mr. Murphy and Mrs. Cleveland’s class acted out a scene from The Crucible in the outdoor classroom.
On Saturday, Rosie robotics traveled to Old Lyme Connecticut for an event called “Bash at the Beach”. Our robot took a bash, but in a wave of competition we won! The event was a great experience.

Students in the Manufacturing/Engineering Pathway classes attended the 2nd annual MassMakes Innovation Challenge at the Basketball Hall of Fame. This was an opportunity to inspire students to find fulfilling careers in Advanced Manufacturing, engage them with exciting activities, and gave them opportunities to meet and even work with leaders in the industry. Students completed many challenges using what they are learning in classes and even came in first for a few of the challenges! It was a great event!

Today Lexi from Monsterrat College of Art in Beverly MA came to talk to Ms. Waters and Mrs. Osborns Honors and AP students about the process of applying to art school, portfolio requirements, and the college experience. She brought many handouts which were created and designed by current students at the college.

A group of AHS students visited Westfield State University to learn about supports available to college students. They toured campus, met with admissions staff, and had lunch in the dining hall.

Selected students and faculty held their first luncheon today at Agawam High School. The goal is to provide an opportunity for students and staff to share their thoughts and ultimately enhance the student experience.
