
Senior spirit week finished up today with "Super Hero Day". Great spirit was shown all week by our class of 2024!







There will be a virtual information session this coming Tuesday 12 March at 6.30pm to provide students, as well as parents with details of paid summer virtual internship opportunities. It is encouraged to view the link to RSVP along with the flyer to learn more about the internship program.
It is essential students looking to register for these internships are committed to the experience, and have allocated adequate time in their summer schedules to complete the 25 hours per week requirements of the program.

The AHS hockey team is pictured here with Sue Drumm in recognition for the boys doing the 2023 RAPV Adopt a Family Gift Drive. Overall the gift drive impacted 87 families in our community.

Recently the Agawam High School Art Honors class did a project for Superintendent Hoffman. She gave the students affirmations and statements about all of the administrators in the district and the students created original pieces of art personalized to each administrator. Together they created about 28 individual works of art!

Tomorrow is an early dismissal at AHS. Presidential primaries will be taking place. Grab and go lunches will be available.

Class of 2024 senior spirit week will begin Monday 3/4 thru Friday 3/8 culminating with the senior "KID Party" on Friday night! AHS is looking forward to the beginning of many celebrations and ceremonies honoring this very legendary class!

Lifeguard positions open this summer at the Pioneer Valley Yacht Club. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with a current Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certification and be available to work from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Students at AHS were recognized during awards assemblies throughout the day today. Pictured here is the freshmen class assembly.


The senior class of 2024 held a "Tape a Teacher to the Wall" fundraiser on Thursday. Mr. Balbony was a great sport and the class was able to raise some money during lunches.




AHS was well represented at a recent Diversity Summit at Holy Cross College. Students were with other schools from across the state attending workshops and seminars aimed at ensuring all students feel welcome and respected at our school.

The Winterguard participated in the New England Scholastic Band Association's Winterguard Evaluation Show on February 3 in Salem, Ma. This was their first show of the season and it was very successful! The group had positive critique from the judges and received a very good score for this early in the season.
The Winterguard's next performance is in our nationally ranked show, Winterguard International's Salem (Ma) Regional on February 17.


HS celebrated Friday spirit day today with football and sequins in honor of Sunday's big game.
