
Science students from the High School visited the Doering Middle School where they helped out with the science fair. In addition to the middle school projects, there were displays from the elementary schools, technology projects, and information about environmental concerns.The high school students talked to the younger students to help judge the entries. In addition, they helped set up and clean up to make for an amazing evening.


AHS Music Students were in full force at the Massachusetts Music Educators Association recently. Students performed and received feedback on their craft.


Winterguard had an amazing show at Shepherd Hill Regional last weekend. The guard came in first place with the highest score of the whole day, 88.45!
Their next performance is our Community performance at the Junior HIgh gym on April 4 at 4:30 pm. Our final show is at the New England Finals on April 6.


The Agawam High School Counseling Staff will be holding a College Admission Workshop on Wednesday, April 3 in the AHS Auditorium from 6 - 7:30 PM. Representatives from three different institutions will talk through the college search and application process. They will describe how college lists should be built, how to make the most of a campus visit, discuss how applications are reviewed, explain what transfer options exist from Community Colleges, highlight what makes an application stand out, and more. We hope to see you there!

We have created a team of talented photographers and editors who would like to put a spotlight on our student athletes. April 1st, 2nd and 3rd, we have set up a media day to take pictures for individual athletes. For example if an athlete has an outstanding game we will use these pictures in a highlighted post on our instagram @gwamathletics. Below you will see the schedule for when each sport has a slot to get their pictures taken, at this time we will only be doing varsity sports. All pictures will be taken in the rotunda, this is not a required event but it is highly recommended.


AHS Prom is just around the corner!


The Future Teachers of America sponsored a Prom Closet at Agawam high school. Students may select any items needed from the closet at their leisure and it is set up in the library.

Agawam's "As Schools Match Wits" match against Easthampton aired on Saturday, March 9th at 7pm on the local PBS station. Congratulations to Liam Kennedy, Ryan Stairs, Hunter Start, and Eden Berry on the victory!


The 2024 recipients of the Ronald Dutton Jr. Memorial Scholarships were announced at the hockey banquet. Congratulations to this year's recipients Anthony Buoniconti & Peyton Buffum!

The Agawam Best Buddies Chapter hosted a St. Patrick's Day celebration complete with music, dancing, and Irish Soda Bread. We had four people bring in delicious irish bread. Our members voted and Aiden Kane won for best Irish Soda Bread for the second year in a row.

AHS students and staff celebrated "Green Day" on Friday!










Last Friday, 70 volunteer AHS students participated in a field trip going to Agawam's Elementary Schools. Throughout the afternoon, AHS Students read stories, led activities at recess and helped in Kindergarten to 4th Grade classrooms. This ended up being a fun day for everyone and a great way for AHS students to gain volunteer hours and leadership experience.


The Winterguard had a successful show in Dartmouth on Saturday March 2. The team received first place in their first show in their new class! We are very proud of their achievement.


It is with great pride that we announce Colin Circosta-Aspinall has won the "Joe Scibelli Award" as the Western Mass Offensive Lineman of the Year! Colin joins Chris Walles and Eric Matland as Agawam Offensive Linemen who have won this prestigious award.

March is YOUTH ART MONTH! The Agawam Visual Art Department is currently exhibiting work from K-12 at the public library. This exhibition showcases the incredible work of our hard working students and teachers. Check it out!










Some of the students in the Healthcare Pathway received their CPR/BLS certification. Others in the pathway are completing an EMT course through STCC.





Congrats to our Rosie Robotics team for their victory this weekend. The Blue Banner is headed to campus.
